Mafia XIII "Camp crystal lake Jason Returns" Game over town wins !!!!!

In 1957, at Camp Crystal Lake, a young boy named Jason Voorhees drowned. In 1958, two camp counselors were murdered. In 1962, fires and bad water thwarted the camp's reopening. Now, in 2009, Tubby finally reopens Camp Crystal Lake with the help of a few new counselors. Ignoring the warnings from a local wacko, the murders start once again while a mysterious stalker prowls the area. Is it Revenge that the killer is looking for? Who will survive the nightmare and live to tell the story?

WHO WE ARE HUNTING
9 or fewer players
there will be one sk, but his sk will recieve the role "Jason Vorhees"

the rest will be townies and your goal is to find him before he kills you all,

10 to 12 players

there may or may not be 2 sk's one being "jason" other may be "freddy"

13 or more

there will be "jason" ,"freddy" and possibly "pinhead" who would be a kill or recruit cult leader.

these roles may or may not appear and can be instated at any time, or none of these roles could show up it all depends.

Multiple possible power roles. (Anyone not know what any of those roles are?)

I realize that I am nomally against this, but in this type of game it makes the most sense.

howard y would it make the most sense to claim. there are atleast 16 possible town roles and only 10 of us. i just don't see how that would benefit us. or are you just trying to figure out who to kill off first?

I am not asking anyone to claim. I was asking if anyone didn't know what any of those listed roles were.

not knowing what roles are in play is precisely what makes a no lynch vote such a bad idea in this case, we may vote no lynch in hopes that the cop will get lucky in an investigation but what if there is no cop? then we are handing out free kills to the bad guys. Or even if there is what if he gets killed before he has the chance to reveal what they have found, we end up in the same situation no someone must die we need to encourage dialogue and narrow down our list of suspects voting someone out is the only way to do that at this point.

For now I'm currently motivated to go the lynch a lurker route, the first day is very long this time round so there's no excuse not to post. Anyone who can't even make a "I am here and paying attention" post by the deadline will have my vote. If everyone posts however I'm taking a long hard look at Howard the no lynch play here is so blatantly anti town that it makes his motives for offering it up very suspect.

well as you all start to explore the camp, you realize you haven’t seen the new guy AshKetchummm, then like it was all part of a script or something you hear a blood curdling scream, you run to see what has happened. When you come around a corner of one of the cabins you start to see a blood trail that leads off into the wood, where you find Ash’s body has been hacked to pieces.

My no lynch thoughts were based on the fact that there would be night kills only and that by not lynching D1 we could save another townie (and possibly a power role) to help catch the SK(s). What I was hoping for was a watcher or tracker, and a cop to enable us to work together to find the murderer(s). However, a day kill (especially a watcher) makes me question the no lynch strategy that I proposed.

What do you mean by this? It's not as if a no lynch would result in an extra kill for the SKs. IMHO, a "free kill for the scum" is a mislynch.

I'm a little shocked that the bad guys got a day kill perhaps it was a one shot kind of deal or perhaps we have some over zealous townie with a kill ability if it's the latter I urge that townie to control themselves and if you only had the one kill then to out yourself we desperately need to figure out exactly whats happening here.

wow, we opt for a long day one so there is little chance of lurking but from 7:30 pm yesterday till 11:00am today there was nothing. and we are in day two of day one in game and there is only one page, guess nobody wants to do any hunting, well freaky jason I'm here waiting come get some.

Okay . . . after much meditation . . . and a sacrifice at the altar of butterflies (don't ask, because I don't know what you would sacrifice to a butterfly deity) . . . I still believe that a no lynch D1 is the best course of action for this type of game. We ensure that we do not take out another power role. Those with night abilities will do their thing. Tomorrow we see what information may have been gathered and determine what the next course of action is.

I played a similar "find the SK" game. The difference was that it was a small town (5 players who all knew each other's abilities). I do not support a mass claim at this point, but I think it may become necessary at some point in the future.
