MAFIA THE GAME

ITs actually not a 50% chance of lynching a mafia member in the first round. Why do people keep saying that. Its a 4 in 17 chance. Technically that makes it a 24% chance. You just divide 4 by 17 and move the decimal over 2 places

I stick with the no lynch method for the first round. Its too easy for the mafia to sit back and wait for a finger to be pointed and then go along with the lynching of an innocent. That allows for random counter finger pointing in the second round. That leads to nothing but confusion. A lynching benefits the mafia in the first round because they have all their members and can persuade us and its too early to make sense of it logically. Let the Cop investigate and the mafia try to accuse us or lurk

I tell you right now the mafia wouldnt let their own hang in the first round, they would have found a way to point the finger at another innocent. Ya, I didn't get that 'you're innocent' remark by Epod, either. Perhaps earth humour. Anyway, the lurker is heading off. Probably innocent, but better dead than confusing.

Your logic is suspect, my friend.
A) With no voting.. we get no information.
Then, on day 2, we would be EXACTLY where we are on day 1.. only with one person dead.

You say wait on the cop? That is WEAK PLAY. What if they get lucky, and off the cop? What if the cop doesn't turn up anything? What if the cop is insane? or Lurking? Or there ISN"T a cop??
Depending on the COP is no way to live. And it is NOT a pro-Town way to play, IMHO.

Think of the last game we played!

Dustin and Wave nailed EVERY one of the mafia down based on Meta, and Day 1 Voting Patterns alone. It was incredible. What if You had gone with No-Lynch that day? I would have seen Wave with my Gun in his face.. Thats what.

SCUMHUNTING is the order of the Day.

the town has spoke and juggalorydaz was dragged away to the center of town while every1 gathered around him.. not a word from him just a terrifed look in his eyes...as the town gathers in a circle round him. guns drawn.. saying u must die lurker.... and so it was he was shot to death , as he laid there gasping for his last breath he whispered but IM INNCOENT ... poor guy. the town walked away heads down.. noone saying a word , wandering to themselfs what have we done. as the sun sets night begins to lurk...

I agree with camn. I have already said that the no-lynch theory (even though it doesn't make their defenders look suspect to me) makes the game fun for only the people having special roles.

The only way to get EVERYBODY involved is accusing people and seeing how everybody reacts to the events.

So, Dustin, please explain exactly what that's proven ?

You lead a bandwagon against a lurker who is innocent. After you floated the idea yesterday it's certain that mafia would make an appearance to ensure they didn't get lynched.

It brought little info as to who could be mafia as he had no chance to defend himself and change peoples minds like sypher did.

Well, I am sorry for an innocent's passing, but not much. Lurkers confuse the issue. They have every game I've played or attended in.

There is no loss in an innocent lurker's passing. The only bonus of innocent lurkers is to the Mafia to confuse the issue. Been there, seen that.

From a statistical standpoint Thefeind is/was right saying the nolynch was the best option for the townies. That point still stands on day 2 though. Being we have what I estimate is about around an 75% chance of lynching an innocent again I’m not voting for any flawed strategies. Whoever is in the lead by vote time, there a HIGH percentage chance they are innocent.

A hypothetical: If the townies would have came together for a tie or no lynch (which the mafia probably wouldn’t let happen) after day one was completed, would the townies been in a better or worse position statistically speaking on day two. The answer is BETTER, not to mention we could have wacked one of our power roles. Anyone saying differently or calling for a lynch strategy (i.e. lurkers) that is random in natire is suspect IMO.

As night fell and all the townies were home wandering what to do next ... Dustin decide to take a walk though the park to get his thoughts toagther, while walking he kept hearing strange noises. As he turned around to see what it was he was grabbed up stabbed brutly and hung from a tree so the rest of the town could find there INNOCENT townie hanging.

It doesn't PROVE anything.. Nothing ever does. This game isn't about proof.

What it does is gives us some basis for the rest of the game. We see how people act.. how they react.. we get a little bit of a baseline.

For instance.. if theFiend comes out and jumps on a Lurkers Bandwagon.. it tells us something. Maybe he is scum. Maybe he is a Cop with a guilty on that person. But it tells us SOMETHING.

We need discussion... and we need votes.

Hey camn, Why would I be against the killing of an innocent if I was mafia? I would have known jugga was innocent and been fine with that choice. Also:

We got plenty of information just arguing about the no lynch method vs. lurker method. Now we have 2 dead innocents instead of 1. Also, the cop has a innocent or guily verdict now BOTH of which help us. You are accusing people way too fast. I know Im innocent, you are suspect to me now.
